MEGAN MATHIAS WINS $150,000 IN ATTORNEY FEES AND ORDER OF PROTECTION AGAINST FATHER

Megan Lopp Mathias took on a large family law firm and prevailed for her client.  The Mother was awarded an order of protection against the Father, a significant attorneys' fee award, as well as the right to have the child reside with her.  This matter was complex and multi-jurisdictional, as it also included two lawsuits in federal court relating to defamation and other internet claims made by Mother against Father.  Father was represented by two different large law firms.

SUCCESSFUL REMOVAL OF UNDERPERFORMING BUSINESS PARTNER

Lopp Mathias Law developed a strategy for removal of a business partner and to maintain control of the company by the other partner.  We defeated a series of litigation tactics to maintain control, force a favorable buyout and left our client intact with the investment.

MEGAN MATHIAS INSTRUMENTAL IN $40M+ TAXPAYER WIN

Megan Lopp Mathias was asked by AT&T to handle litigation in various jurisdictions relating to a cost of performance issue. The Illinois victory resulted in a savings of almost $40M for the taxpayer.  In matters around the country, including a significant victory in Massachusetts, AT&T was able to take a tax position in that case, and moving forward, that would result in millions of dollars in reduction of taxes.  See link below to the press release for the Massachusetts case.

LOPP MATHIAS LAW CLOSES $15M IN TRANSACTIONS IN FIRST 90 DAYS IN BUSINESS

MEGAN MATHIAS SUCCESSFULLY PROSECUTED TRADEMARK INFRINGEMENT

In the Northern District of Illinois, Megan Mathias filed a complaint on behalf of her client, a Chicago not for profit,  for trademark and trade dress infringement, among other things. Ms. Mathias won swift and complete relief on behalf of her client resulting in a dismissal of the action.

DEFENSE OF A $20M MAINTENANCE CLAIM PROTECTS WOMEN BUSINESS OWNER FROM PERMANENT MAINTENANCE 

Utilizing tough litigation tactics, Megan Mathias defeated a permanent maintenance claim with a value exceeding $20M for a women business owner.  The client was able to maintain her business without interference and without a cloud of a lifetime of maintenance payments. #womenbreadwinners

SUCCESSFUL DEFENSE OF CEO FROM HOSTILE TAKEOVER OF 3 BUSINESSES

A prominent CEO was sued by various minority shareholders in an attempt to recover their small investments at the conclusion of the business.  The CEO was bombarded with lawsuits, multiple attempts at injunctive relief to enjoin the CEO from controlling the businesses.  Megan Mathias defended these actions on behalf of the CEO, not only defeating the request for injunctive relief multiple times but obtaining findings that the CEO had not committed wrongdoing.
